Community Gatherings

Connection, relationship and love is at the core of all we do.

At Rahab’s Sisters, we continually look to be responsive for what community members have asked for. We provide the necessities for dignity and health, whether that be food, freindship, supplies, or a shoulder to cry on.

We offer a wealth of food, clothing, and hygiene products to Guests and aim to have something for everyone. You belong at Rahab’s Sisters, however you are and whoever you are.

Mental Health Support

Whenever you enter into a Rahab’s Sisters space, chances are, you’ll see a group of folks laughing, listening and voicing struggles around a table discussing the week's moments of hardship, flutters of hope, and ways to navigate life’s challenges.

We offer a weekly support group facilitated by mental and behavioral health professionals. This confidential and therapeutic space is a time where Guests can share, connect, and grieve together. Guided by a counselor, it is also a place to support each other, learning and practicing ways to navigate through their individual journeys.

"I have to keep drying my eyes thinking about all the selflessness you ladies have demonstrated. You have basically improved my life, and I have only known you a few weeks. I am humbled and very grateful, and I just wanted you to know that this Portland woman is feeling your love. Thank you."

Our goals are to increase and foster a greater sense of self-worth, build resilience, and create a peer-to-peer network to support each other beyond Rahab’s Sisters gatherings. This effort is to ultimately provide the resources and tolls to self-sustain, empower Guests to gain control over situations and issues when they arise.

Outreach

Radical hospitality is on the move!

Rahab’s Sisters supports our unhoused neighbors in the Montavilla area with food and supply deliveries. In addition to distributing critical survival items, outreach teams share information, connect campers to additional resources and watch for urgent needs, including physical and mental health crises.
